Sabah, Borneo

Wild Malaysia: orangutan encounters, Mount Kinabalu's granite crown and coral islands minutes from the city.

Why Sabah, Borneo

The on-ground view

Sabah is where itineraries turn wild — orangutans at Sepilok, proboscis monkeys along the Kinabatangan River, Mount Kinabalu towering over the national park, and the Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park's snorkelling islands a short boat ride from Kota Kinabalu.

We build Sabah as a 3–5-night nature block: wildlife river safaris, island days, and Kinabalu park excursions with licensed nature guides.

Best time to visit: March–October is the drier window for wildlife and islands.
